FA DOCTOR UNHAPPY WITH OSCAR TREATMENT
Chelsea Football Club are in yet another storm with the Football Association, this time regarding the treatment of Oscar after he suffered a concussion during a game.
Head Injury
The Brazilian midfielder was involved in a nasty clash with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospinathree weeks ago during their 0-0 draw, and it was a collision that left him unconscious and dazed.
Despite suffering the nasty looking head injury, Oscar continued to play on for the match and was then named as a substitute just three days later against Leicester City.
The FA have put their foot down on head injuries and concussions due to recent traumas in the game, and a doctor of the association has revealed how shocked he was by Chelsea‘s failure to treat Oscar properly.
Chelsea Deemed Unacceptable
Chelsea were accused of the same thing earlier this season when one of their goalkeepers was involved in a nasty collision and this time they have been branded as “completely unacceptable”.

Leading neuropathologist Dr Stewart, a member of the FA‘s expert concussion panel, classed the decision to continue playing Oscar as ‘completely unacceptable’ and was shocked by the club’s treatment after such a horrific head collision.
Chelsea Unhappy with Doctor
However, Chelsea have retaliated furiously and are not happy with Dr Stewart’s comments or involvement in the matter and are set to launch an official complaint to the FA.
The club’s medical team insist they followed all appropriate guidelines when dealing with Oscar and they have stated that the Brazilian was fully conscious and able to play on after the injury.
Chelsea Source
A source close to Chelsea has said that they believe Dr Stewart’s conduct was ‘inappropriate’ and raises question marks over the validity of the FA panel.
