Rafa Benitez used to shout "SHOWER!" at his Liverpool players if they were being hauled off at half-time.
And that was the exact word which was echoed down the ears of Djimi Traore at the interval of the famous 2005 Champions League final.
Liverpool were seemingly dead and buried at the break after conceding three goals in the first half to AC Milan, as the elusive fifth European crown looked out of reach.
Traore was one of the players who was set to face the wrath of Benitez during the interval as the Spanish boss looked to turn the fixture on its head.
Speaking at the 10th anniversary dinner of Liverpool's Istanbul success, Traore said: "When the manager says, 'Traore!' I know I'm in trouble. 'Shower'."
The Mali international, currently playing for the Seattle Sounders, thought that his Champions League final was over.
But Traore got his second chance after a Steve Finnan injury forced a change in thinking and a change in tactics from Benitez.
Jamie Carragher later revealed that the phrase "shower" became infamous in the Liverpool changing room during the early stages of Benitez's time in charge of the club.
Carragher admitted: "Rafa's English wasn't great at the time and if you were coming off at half time he'd just say: 'Shower'."
"Rafa puts the names on the board, I look at it and think, 'We've got half a chance here, we're playing with 12 men!'"
The majority of the Liverpool team from the famous Istanbul win gathered together for a reunion dinner organised to mark the 10th anniversary of the famous win.
Three goals in six minutes sent the game to extra-time, before Steven Gerrard's crowning moment in a Liverpool shirt, as he lifted the European Cup after a penalty shoot-out win.
